CURIOUS CREATORS GRANT
This poem is about survivors. I find it fitting that this grant is created by Curious Elixirs, a non-alcoholic beverage company, when this poem goes straight at the heart of a rape culture that is often fueled by the alcohol industry.
My piece is about transforming the way society views and treats women, especially survivors. I hope that it can help transform the shame and vilification that most survivors of sexual assault and rape are met with when they share their stories into a celebration of their strength.
